To the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus
Orthodox Ecumenical Support for Metropolitan Tychikos
In the name of the Holy Trinity, we, the Orthodox Christians from all over the world, openly and firmly declare that the process of prosecution and suspension of Metropolitan Tychikos in Cyprus, by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus on May 22, 2025, and its subsequent actions, are arbitrary, unsubstantiated, unjust, uncanonical, and in violation of the Constitution of the Church of Cyprus and the Holy Canons of the Orthodox Church.
We call upon the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus to restore justice by:
- annulling the uncanonical process of condemnation that was followed, and
- reinstating Metropolitan Tychikos as the Metropolitan of Paphos.
Our prayers are wholeheartedly with Metropolitan Tychikos and with our Church.

Священному Синоду Кипрской Православной Церкви
Православная экуменическая поддержка митрополита Тихика
Во имя Святой Троицы, мы, православные христиане со всего мира, открыто и решительно заявляем, что процесс преследования и отстранения митрополита Тихика на Кипре решением Священного Синода Кипрской Церкви от 22 мая 2025 года и последующие действия являются произвольными, необоснованными, несправедливыми, неканоничными и нарушающими Устав Кипрской Церкви, а также Священные Каноны Православной Церкви.
Мы призываем Священный Синод Кипрской Церкви восстановить справедливость, а именно:
- аннулировать неканонический процесс осуждения, который был проведён, и
- восстановить митрополита Тихика в его сане как канонического митрополита Пафоса.
Наши молитвы всем сердцем с митрополитом Тихиком и с нашей Церковью.

Către Sfântul Sinod al Bisericii din Cipru
Sprijin ortodox ecumenic pentru Mitropolitul Tychikos
În numele Sfintei Treimi, noi, creștinii ortodocși din întreaga lume, mărturisim fără echivoc și cu tărie că procedura de urmărire și suspendare a Mitropolitului Tychikos din Cipru, prin decizia Sfântului Sinod al Ciprului din 22 mai 2025 și cele ulterioare, este arbitrară, nefondată, nedreaptă, necanonică și în contradicție cu Carta Constituțională a Bisericii din Cipru și cu Sfintele Canoane ale Bisericii Ortodoxe.
Facem apel la Sfântul Sinod al Bisericii din Cipru să repare situația prin:
- anularea procedurii necanonice de condamnare care a fost urmată, și
- restabilirea Mitropolitului Tychikos ca Mitropolit canonic al Pafosului.
Rugăciunile noastre sunt din toată inima alături de Mitropolitul Tychikos și de Biserica noastră.
